A Photographers Place is thrilled to participate in Slow Art Day 2025! This event encourages viewers to slow down and with intention spend time looking deeply into a select number of images. The idea being, the more time you spend looking at an image, the more you see!
Slow looking is not driven by curators, historians, or artists telling you how you should view art. It’s all about taking your time, looking deeply, and making your own discoveries in order to develop your own personal connection to the work
Guide to APP Slow Art 2025
Decide to view less! Choose 3-4 images to look at in detail.
Get comfortable. Find a chair, sit down and relax. You’ll be looking at each image for a while.
Bring a notebook. Make notes of what your seeing in each image. Ask yourself questions that you may want to research later.
Share what you’ve discovered! Bring a friend or family member with you. Or, better yet, come back and bring them with you. Sharing what you’ve learned with others is a great way to deepen friendships and enlarge the community as a whole.
We have multiple exhibits up for viewing at the same time. Visit one, visit more, but take your time!
And most of all: Have Fun!
